Pregnancy osteopathy

Osteopathy can help your body adapt as your baby grows. It’s a gentle, relaxing hands-on treatment that can rebalance your body and help you let go of tension and stress. Osteopathy can help you regain your inner balance so you can enjoy your pregnancy and be confident you’re ready for childbirth.

Find the root of the problem

Back pain, pelvic pain, tension headaches and many other common ailments of pregnancy can be signs your body is struggling with the changes it is going through. Pregnancy massage and other therapies may offer short-term relief but the real cause often lies in the way your body has adapted to things that have happened in the past. I will dig deeper to find out why the current problem has arisen and help you to understand how you can move forward and make the most out of your pregnancy.

Focus on your priorities

Do you want to move past pain, prepare for childbirth or simply get back to enjoying the things you love? I will listen to your story so we can focus on what’s most important to you. We will agree a personalised pregnancy health plan to get you back on track.

Move forward with confidence

Osteopaths are regulated healthcare professionals recommended by the NHS. I have an MSc in Paediatric Osteopathy and over fifteen years experience working with women during pregnancy and postpartum. From 2004 to 2013, I trained, worked and taught at the internationally renowned Osteopathic Centre for Children. I am registered with the General Osteopathic Council. I’m a proud member and Past President of the Institute of Osteopathy. I’ve advised the Advertising Standards Agency on development of guidelines for osteopaths who work with pregnant women and children. I was a lead author of the Osteopathic Development Group’s guidance for osteopaths who work with children and young people.
